How does it work?

  • GEPS® is a system of multiple
     units that passively balance moisture within the soil.
  • GEPS® is installed 2ft below the surface.
  • GEPS® is not drainage but solves the same problems drainage systems try to solve through natural/sustainable methods.
  • GEPS® is not hindered by obstacles
     like clay pans due to it working volumetrically instead of just vertically.
  • In soils with low permeability (like clay), GEPS® promotes lateral moisture distribution between soil layers, overcoming vertical movement limitations.
  • GEPS® needs zero maintenance!
  • Material: Environmentally neutral polyethylene (MDPE)
  • Exelterra Boosters (BSTR) are just below the grounds surface in areas where the superficial soil is heavily compacted

Calculating Performance

  • GEPS® units achieve a recorded infiltration rate of 190 gal/hr./unit.
  • For GEPS® installations, this rate is adjusted to 50 gal/hr./unit, applying a safety factor of 3.8
  • This safety factor is applied for potential external factors that may influence the product's behavior, such as climate, environmental conditions, soil composition, and proximity to developed land.
